I've ordered from Vanns.com several times over the past couple of years. Mainly, I've enjoyed them for their speakers and CD players. Lately I've been looking into their line of phones. I am still doing some price comparing with other sites, but it looks favorable for them the next time I order a phone.
I've found that I like surfing their site and feel I can count on them for continued on-time shipping and am certain they are one of the better sites for price and availability on the internet. They are not over loaded with selection, but there is enough to keep you coming back. I don't feel they are a super store.
♣ Site Appeal ›
It really does not matter a a lot to most people what a site "looks like" but I am one of those people who am drawn to a site that has site appeal. This is probably the only area I really feel Vanns is coming up short on. I honestly find the site to be somewhat boring and lacking in eye candy. It is basically blue and white. I've seen sites that have only these two colors and I suppose the layout made them appealing but really, this is not one of them. Fortunately, I do not let this stop me from browsing them and buying when I can. Other aspects of their site make up for any color comfort they are missing. They are very professional looking though.

Simple and to the point. The search feature is accurate when looking for specific products or brand names. If you navigate from the drop down menu or the side bar selector, it is just as easy to find what you are looking for and more. Everything you are looking for will start from the main page. Take advantage of the top bar where they list links to clearance items, sale items, top sellers, and promotional items.

Prices at Vanns.com is what keeps me coming back to check on them for what I am wanting to buy. They do not always have the lower price but because of their dependability, it makes it worth it to check them out. There are those times where it pays to spend a bit more rather than order from a place that gives you the impression you may or may not get your order. All in all, Vanns does have competitive pricing and more times than not, they will be lower than most. They have a Vanns card you can apply for if you are into using charge accounts. I'm not.

As I mentioned above. Vanns.com is not a super store. They have a wide selection of brands and types but not an over abundance. They do make available top selling items and new gadgets that are coming out but they really do not stock a lot of out dated merchandise. I feel they are up to speed on just about anything you'd be looking for though. They have been for me when I've needed something even if I didn't always buy. Only once did they not have what I was looking for and it was because it was an older type item that I ended up finding on eBay.
♣ Orders, Shipping, and Customer Service ›
Ordering is easy as pie. They take major credit cards, money orders, checks, and their own card. Shipping was not free for me but they only charge actual shipping for any item. On the down side, I had an order come in separate cartons once and was charged shipping on both. I guess I expected that. Doesn't mean I liked it.
To track an order, you'll receive a confirmation e-mail that will have a password and tracking (order) number. Just go to the site and enter you password and order number and it will give you the tracking information.
I was shipped my orders through UPS and they have always been on time. I couldn't ask for more than that.
I've only used customer service once and it was to inquire about a speaker I couldn't find. They did have it, I just wasn't looking under the correct manufacturer name. They were very helpful and courteous.

I do recommend you visit Vanns.com. Check out their prices, compare to other sites and read the "about us" like to find out more about them as a company. They are dependable and helpful and will give you the best deal they can.
