When I sold two books on Amazon.com's marketplace one day after I listed them, I was very happy and thought this process would be very easy. I was wrong.
I listed the books successfully. I
received confirmation from Amazon that the books were
listed, and I also received an email for me to hook up
my checking account so that the payments in my
payments account can be disbursed to me. I clicked on
the link provided in their email to set up my checking account, it asks me to sign into the secure sever. When I
type my password, it tells me that my login can't be
authenticated. However, I can sign into my account to view past purchases, and also to the part of my seller account that shows my current listings using the same email and password.
I called Amazon and the woman was very nice. She told me I needed to delete my temporary internet files, cookies, history, cache, etc. She also told me I needed to set my internet options to "low", meaning accept all cookies. I did all that, and still, couldn't login. She then told me I needed to shut down my firewall, my anti-virus protection and make sure my clock was at the right time. I did all that, and still, nothing. Could not access my seller account.
Am I the only person with this problem? Almost everyone I know uses a firewall, so this can't be a one time thing. I'm very frustrated.
