Terrible - poor service, poor communication, all bad -- and this happened twice! I ordered from them last summer and received someone else's order in error. I returned it the same day and spoke with customer service who assured me my correct item would reship immediately. Two weeks later they still hadn't shipped my item and they'd charged me for it because the guy who got my books by mistake hadn't returned that order.
I gave them another chance this winter and spent several hundred dollars on a holiday order, needed by Christmas. I ordered in early December and all items were supposed to "usually ship in 24 hours." On December 17 they hadn't shipped but were supposed to ship that day. On December 18 I got an email saying "due to unexpected delays the order will ship in 1-4 business days." That would mean the gifts would arrive too late (esp. since some were also Hanukkah gifts). I called customer service and they couldn't even pinpoint the problematic items in the order causing the delay. Terrible communication, terrible unhelpful customer service. I will never shop with bn.com (or the physical stores, just on principle) again.
I'd write more but now I have to go running all over the place doing last minute Christmas shopping.
