Pros: Elegant Looks-Great Comfort & Feel--Seiko's Reputation for Dependability--Best In Class Kinetic Movement Cons: A screw-down crown would have been nice, but not necessary. Otherwise. no complaints.
With a MSRP of $425, most are listed for less than half that. At that price, it is a steal, a bargain and a truly beautiful and functional timepiece. I scored one new, in the box, complete with manual, ownership card and the full manufacturer's 3 year ...

Pros: Look ma! NO BATTERIES! NO WINDING! Cons: Not good for diving. Date needs changing. Don't wear it, won't work.
CONVENIENT!!! This watch is the most convenient item I've ever owned. After having worn it for several years, it has never had to be serviced. Because of a small pendulum like device inside the watch, there is no need to wind it. This also means ...

guess I got a lemon
by nickfromct,May 21 '07
Pros: looks nice Cons: 2 years old - 3 serious repairs
This watch was purchased as a graduation gift June 2005, and at over $300 i didn't think it was "affordable" as the other reviewer stated. i thought it would be a special long-lived gift. Boy was i wrong, in the 2 years since it's purchase, it has been sent back to Seiko for repairs 2 times and i'm about to send it back for a 3rd repair! Little hour markers fell off 1st, then the face started spinning around inside the case. and now it's doing that again! It must be a lemon, but the Seiko repair folks have never responded to my inquiries other than to mail it back after repairs. never an apology or anything!

Really nice masculine watch.
by mindfree7,Mar 17 '07
Pros: Dial size, clarity of markings, kinetic energy feature, masculine appearance, two-tone stainless steel case band. Cons: No day feature. Manual should be written more clearly.
I have owned the Seiko SKA245 watch for one day. It is the most comfortable watch I have ever worn. The large blue dial with luminous markers and gold toned hour, minute, and second hands is a joy to read. The date at the 3'o'clock position is adequate. I bought this watch as a dress watch, but now I will use it more frequently. It is very masculine looking, I like that. I also like the stainless steel band with double locking push button clasp.
Your ad says the case back is "see through." It is not. It is solid stainless steel which is fine with me.
The only drawback so far is the owner's manual. It is not very
clear regarding the power reserve capacity of the watch, neither does it give much detail about the kinetic energy system of the watch.

Great Watch
by slvrshdw25,Aug 03 '05
Pros: Looks great, perfect size, and never needs a battery. Cons: Haven't owned it long enough for a proper analysis (Though I doubt it would change).
I have had this watch for about two weeks and I love it. It looks much better up close and it never needs a battery (kinetic). I have no regrets on this product and I don't think I will. Once again this a great watch and I highly recommend it.
