Conservative, not Neo-Con point of view by srj76,May 01 '06
Pros: You can't find a better magazine, if you are a conservative but not a neo-con. Cons: only bi-weekly
This magazine approaches news & politics from a "conservative" point of view, rather than a "Republican" one. As such, it is very interesting to see how the two diverge. Among other things, many conservatives are against interventions like Iraq, against government and 'big brother' infringing on personal freedoms, and prefer to respect American traditions. These are hardly the sentiments of crazy nutjobs. I had a good laugh at the guy who wrote the first review on here. His 6-page review is a good indication that people who enjoy hateful bomb-throwing may not like "The American Conservative". I'm glad I'm not such a negative person. I'm glad I can debate the ISSUE, instead of resorting to personal attacks which I can not prove.
