Pros: Quirky looks, comfortable seating, unlimited functionality, great stereo, spunky-engine, and impressive handling for a box.
Cons: Quirky looks, somewhat difficult rear seat access, quad doors can be annoying, real-world fuel mileage.
The Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a little Honda Odyssey, the Element is an awesome choice. All the functionality of a Minivan with none of the soccer-dad stereotypes.

Pros: Roomy, reliable, fun to drive, very functional
Cons: LX lacks some basic features
The Bottom Line: Great value for Honda quality.

I recently purchased a 2008 Element LX. While there are a few things that I wish it had that the EX has (arm rests, auxiliary jack), I am very satisfied with the vehicle. I personally like the look of it, but the functionality of it is what won me over ...

Pros: Functional seating, smooth quiet ride, armrests, tons of room, Sound system.
Cons: No floormats, cupholders in center of back seats
I purchased the 2008 Honda Element EX about 1 month ago. This car is great. We were looking for a truck so that we could possibly haul something in the back. But, when we found the Element, we looked no more. There is a lot of room inside the car. With the EX, you get the upgraded sound system with XM and an accesory port for your ipod. Also, you get armrests which the lower models lack. Our dog loves the car. We raise the seats up against the wall and he has a lot of room to relax. He is a 80 lbs Golden Retriever. The car has a nice quiet ride. I was kind of worried about the loudness of the car when we first got it, but it is very quiet. The EX we got came with real time 4WD. We have not gotten the chance to use it yet, but we expect that it will be good. This car is the perfect choice for someone with animals or someone who needs a car to haul something large but does not want a truck.

Pros: Roomy, easy to clean inside, great in snow/ice. Perfect car for dogs/kids.
Cons: Back sunroof is pretty useless, would prefer it in front.
This is my second Element. I traded in my 2005 one for a 2008 in March and never even considered anything else.
I have two large dogs and garden. I use it to transport plants and dirt as well as the dogs.
I just pull in to the car wash to "hose out" the waterproof inside, including the seats. Good as new in minutes!
Perfect car for hauling things, it holds pretty much anything I have needed to purchase and carry including 2 porch rockers, a large wooden swing with stand and 2 planters all at the same time.
Fun to drive, I live in Michigan and the 4WD moves me through any road condition without a problem.
Sunroof in the back was nice to have for looking at the stars while camping out.Bikes can be carried inside the car on each side in back.
