Pros: spacious, economical , good price/performance Cons: cheapish interior in places, needs another 5-10hp The Bottom Line: Sporty and roomy sedan which can comfortably fit five, and save you three to six thousand dollars over the Accord or Altima. Consider the V6 for highway driving.
The Top Line Looking for a sporty, but family-friendly sedan that wont break your budget? Ford may have just the car for you. This trans-fusion of the Mazda 6 platform has a lot to offer for under $23,000, and narrows the gap, without quite ...

Pros: Satisfactory fit and finish, reliable transportation appliance Cons: Too average, possibly too-high priced, uncomfortable interior The Bottom Line: There are too many choices out there to settle for an "Average" car. A decent car, but in this price range, look elsewhere.
I'm the first to confess that I have high standards for cars, and I lean toward the sporty side. Even still, I like to think that my experience with this car is accurate and representative of its true traits.I had a 4 cylinder 2008 model as a ...

Pros: Crisp handling, powerful brakes, generous standard equipment on base car, price. Cons: Bolstered seats may be a bit narrow for most Americans.
Our Fusion is the base S model, and it is a terrific car for the money. The ride/handling compromise is just right, and the powerful brakes have excellent pedal feel. The body is very solid and it is quiet at speed for a mid-priced sedan. I was concerned that the 4 cylinder with automatic would be underpowered, but it revs freely and is just fine for a family car. Plus, the 4 gets respectable mileage and its light weight contributes to the nimble handling. Some of the magazines quibble about the 5 speed automatic, but I don't know how it could be much better.
We shopped Accord, Malibu, and Camry, but the actual selling price for those comparably equipped would have been $5,000 to $6,000 more! The Sonata costs a bit more and lacks the sharp handling of the Fusion.

Pros: Options are impressive, Sync system is great ,snappy acceleration in the 6 cylinder. Great price. Cons: Can't find any!
We just bought a 2008 Ford Fusion SEL (6 cylinder). I am extremely impressed! The option package is over the top. Even has ambient lighting inside! It handles very well and the acceleration is snappy. The Sync system is super neat & easy to learn. Nothing like it is offered in the same class for near the price. We looked at Accord, Camry, Maxima. We almost bought the Camry until we stumbled upon the Fusion. It was fully loaded as compared to the moderately outfitted Camry, a 6 cylinder compared to the 4 we looked at in the Camry and the sticker price was $6000 less!! The Accord was much higher priced and did not have all of the options. The Maxima just did not compare. A lot of nice car for the money!

Pros: safe, attractive, fun to drive, roomy, comfortable Cons: could get better gas mileage
My husband and I purchased a 2008 Fusion in December 2007. We were replacing a 2005 Honda Accord that was a lease. I am so happy that we chose the Fusion. I absolutely love this car. It is quite roomy; my husband is a big guy and he is quite comfortable in the car. It has so many extra's that the Accord didn't have, and was basically the same price. I have noticed so many Fusion's on the road since getting this car, so I know I am not the only one that feels this way. A couple of months after getting the car, I was t-boned by another vehicle. It was only a minor accident, and the other vehicle was not going that fast, but I feel really good about the safety of the Fusion after the accident. I highly recommend the 2008 Fusion.
