Pros: Excellent interior materials for this class, Good Handling, Engine quality. Cons: Poindexter interior and exterior styling, Shifter, Could be more fun to drive. The Bottom Line: 2 steps forward .. 1 step back
Minus the Focus' less than perfect reliability record, the early versions of Foci (between the years of 2000-2004) were some of the most impressive compacts to come from Detroit. The Focus offered a solid interior, decent performance, and refreshingly ...

Pros: Lots of features (including the kitchen SYNC), roomy trunk, sturdy interior materials, firm steering. Cons: A face only Norelco could love, crowded-feeling interior, no rear headrests, unresponsive automatic. The Bottom Line: A hackneyed restyle and sterilized road manners have left the Focus desperately devoid of appeal. SYNC is the sole selling point.
Background For years after its late-1999 debut, Ford’s Focus was critically acclaimed as one of the most competitive, fun-to-drive compacts on the market. And, for nearly as long, Ford has seemed hell-bent on trying to kill the ...

Pros: Sync is a nice touch. Fuel Economy Cons: Front and Rear Stabilizers only available on SES. Awkward design elements. The Bottom Line: Will a voice operated, bluetooth system propel the Ford Fusion past its Japanese and GeneralMotors counterparts? Ford is betting that it will.
My Uncle, Carl G. Smith recently earned his PhD. He has been a business Professor in Long Island University for many years and is now releasing a book that the Epinions Car&Motorsports Leads might like to read entitled: Ford ...

Pros: Great gas mileage on the freeway, quality interior, good sound system. Cons: Looks like a girl car The Bottom Line: Felt solid, great transportation, comfortable, fun to drive, gets up to speed quickly, nice sound system, NOT macho.
I rented a 2008 Ford Focus for three days and drove it from Fresno to L.A. and back. When the lady at the counter handed me the keys, I was a bit disappointed at first because I was hoping for something I thought would be a little more interesting and ...

Pros: power, gas mileage, price Cons: warranty, fit and finish, Sync The Bottom Line: If buying a new car, I'd recommend a new Honda or Toyota, however it should make a good used car for thousands less than a used Honda or Toyota.
I finally had the opportunity to test drive the new Ford Focus as a potential replacement for my aging 2003 Focus. After much research and shopping around, the 2008 Focus seemed to be a logical choice among its competitors due to its improved engine, ...

Pros: decent handling, good mpg, comfy seats Cons: not thought out well, narrow interior, no better than older Focus The Bottom Line: Consider only if you can get one much cheaper than a Honda Fit or Toyota Corolla. Otherwise too much of a compromise.
I have always liked small Fords like the Escort ZX2 and previous generation Focus. They had good handling and decent power. Nothing has changed in that regard. I actually like the new design as well, except for the rear end which looks wimpy in ...

Pros: Engine, ride, and handling. Roomy front seats and trunk. Cons: Lots of short-cuts make the Focus an incomplete package. The Bottom Line: Cheap touches and missing features prevent a good platform from living up to its potential.
I recently rented a 2008 Ford Focus SE sedan for a week, and here are my impressions. The car covers the basics rather well - peppy, fuel-efficient engine, responsive 4-speed automatic transmission, adequate brakes, perky handling, smooth yet taut ...

Pros: Standard features, Power, Good gas mileage, Price Cons: Body styling, Base model has no power options! The Bottom Line: Get the car for the gas mileage, power and comfort. If you need a bigger car, though, go for it.
I'm not going to lie. The only reason I got this car is because I got a good deal on it. Otherwise, I would have gotten a bigger car. This car, suprisingly enough, has a fair amount of leg room inside. It's very comfortable with the cloth seats, but has ...

Pros: Body style, options, ride, drive, ease of entry and exit, gas mileage. Cons: None that I can think of. The Bottom Line: I think this is a good buy - It fits the needs of my family perfectly.
Today I had the opportunity to test drive a new 2008 Ford Focus SE 4-door sedan with cruise control and Sirius radio. My wife didn't want to even think about the 2007 Focus since she didn't like the way it looked, and actually got angry with me for ...

Pros: stable quite ride, great gas mileage, price, great look, smooth manual transmission, Sirius radio Cons: can't think of anything.
My wife and I really love our Focus SE. Our last car was a Neon. This has more head room, more trunk space. We think the package we got is equal to any make or model on the market. After shopping for a year or more, we feel we made the right choice for the money. Our dealer gave us a great deal!
